After my son was born prematurely with Down syndrome and needed open-heart surgery, I was overwhelmed—juggling therapy, pumping, and postpartum recovery while completely neglecting myself. I was drained, resentful, and trying to pour from an empty cup.
That breakdown led to my breakthrough. I realized caring for myself wasn’t selfish—it was necessary. By healing my metabolism and hormones through nutrition, I regained my energy, stabilized my mood, reached my healthiest weight, and even donated hundreds of ounces of breastmilk.
I finally felt confident again—in my body, my choices, and motherhood. Now, as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Lactation Counselor, I help other moms do the same through The Postpartum Shift. And I’d be honored to support you, too.
